Baby Q|Connecticut & Long Island Family Photographer|Lexi-Bella Photography

He’s BACK!! One year later and with mom and dad! The famous Baby “Q”! Everywhere I went people would ask me how he was doing after I initially blogged about him! ( See here )Well, see for yourself! He’s a dreamy one year old, just starting to take his first steps, loves to eat and has an infectious smile. He’s an absolute DREAM!

His one year session/family session. Actually, these days, most one year sessions I’m pushing people to do family sessions. WHY? Because these days most of us spend more time behind the camera, myself included, than in front of it with our children. Because 20 years from now you will want these pictures. Because 50 years from now these images will hold more value in your childrens and families heart than any physical possession. Because in a blink of an eye 18 years will have passed and your babies will be leaving the nest and going to college and all you will have to hold onto are these images, a glimpse into those magical days filled with sunshine, sloppy wet kisses, sticky little hands and big dreams.

2011, a year to remember. A year to capture families.

Here at Lexi-Bella our goal is not only to capture these sweet simple moments but create lifelong pieces of art that will become family heirlooms and hang proudly in your homes for generations.

Now, onto Baby”Q” and family!

PSA: Safety is our utmost concern during sessions before artistic vision. We are lucky enough to be able to use these old train tracks and old bridge that have been out of service for over 30 years. We DO NOT shoot on live tracks, infact, in most states it is illegal so please do not attempt this on live tracks!

I’m in love with this next shot. It’s funny, most people won’t view it as I do, but to me this is a perfect family portrait. You see, Baby “Q” is the focus of this image but you can’t see his face but the look of sheer happiness and love that radiates from his parents expressions cause the viewer to immediately wonder about the little guy behind it all. Its about capturing family bonds and connection, this is what we do!

Happy Birthday little guy! I wish you a lifetime of Happy Birthdays!

There is nothing more simple and beautiful than a brand new baby. Well, to me anyways. The sweet soft skin, their warm little bodies that melt under your warm embrace and that heavenly scent that will make any mother, heck, most women melt.

With each newborn session I fall more and more in love with these sweet babies, probably why I will usually try my hardest to squeeze in a last minute session such as this sweet girl, photographed at a little over two weeks.  R. I’m so glad I was able to get you guys in and meet your gorgeous girl, she is the spitting image of her gorgeous mama <3

Grab a cup of hot tea and take a moment to relax and meet this little beauty!

I’m in love with this detail shot.

5 Minutes| Connecticut and Long Island Child Photographer|Lexi-Bella Photography

That was all I needed for perfection. For images that to ME will remind me of my beautiful little girls’ birthday! With a February baby we don’t have the opportunity to have a big outdoor bar-b-que birthday party soaking in the sunshine and fresh air. February, a month traditionally in the Northeast where we get dumped with snow and freezing temps, warm days feel so far away.

One day.

One day where spring is just at our fingertips. Just enough warmth and fresh air to remind us that in just a few short weeks the daffodils will be poking through and the days get longer and the air refreshes our spirits once again.

5 minutes in 3 feet of snow, pink ruffles and winter boots.

5 minutes of dancing to make those ruffles fly and fill the air with a delicate melody of a child’s laughter

My heart, My Muse, why I do what I do. I’m not just a photographer, I’m a mother DESPERATELY trying to preserve every curl, every giggle, every sloppy wet kiss and every moment that fills our hearts so immensely that it feels it can burst, not of only my child but yours. She makes me dream like a child again with that wild hair that can’t be tamed, the petite stature, the ruffles and laughter that is  SO “Lexi-Bella”

5 minutes that to me are worth MILLIONS; Because that was all I needed. Her 2 year portrait, it will go HUGE on a canvas in my living room as a reminder of a girl no longer a baby but feisty, independent small woman with a heart of gold.

What is Photography? What do we do here at Lexi-Bella Photography?

We are……

“Making memories that last a lifetime” for our family and yours !

and a few more…….
