I remember being in labor and closing my eyes and drifting off to a different place, the beach, feeling the warm sun on my face and body, hearing the waves, feeling the sand.. for a moment time stood still and that is what I needed at that moment to get through it… Perhaps in a few weeks she will come back to this moment and remember how the sun felt on her face, how the breeze pushed her hair, how she thought of this new life to come and time will stand still for her and get her through that moment, one more contraction closer to meeting her daughter… ♥
