Love Story|CT & Long Island Wedding Photographer|Lexi-Bella Photography

Who doesn’t love a good Love Story?!

I had the pleasure of photographing L & A’s wedding this summer and oh the LOVE that day! It all started a year ago, they met and it was a whirlwind Love affair. A is a fighter pilot for the U.S. air-force and only a few months after they met he was deployed overseas but not without proposing first! And so the wedding planning began with A overseas and L desperately missing him! Their love grew stronger with the overseas separation and A returned home safely just a few weeks shy of their wedding. I don’t have to say much, the love and raw emotion just radiated from both of them that day! Even Robert, my second shooter and hubby came up to me that day while we were photographing and said, “wow, what a connection with these two”!

YES, an AMAZING and powerful connection.

L & A Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day. With a love like yours I know you both will grow old together and more in love each day.

A sneak peak into their day!

So I thought I’d start this blog post out a little different. Yes, this is a family/children’s session but sometimes I think we loose sight of the BIG picture. I remember when I got married they said the first year of marriage is the hardest and if you get through it, “you guys are solid”!

WRONG.

The first year of PARENTHOOD is the hardest and will ROCK your marriage like nothing else! Your love will grow to a level you never could imagine but will also test your strengths and weaknesses at the same time. You go from being a couple to a family, in charge of these crazy, wondrous and demanding little creatures; and just when you think you can’t take it anymore that first year has passed and here you are on the other side changed and trying to find how you fit as a couple, as a parent, as a family.

It’s SO IMPORTANT to remember that love that a couple shared when they decide to bring even more love into their life and become parents. That the bonds of marriage and family are important ones that need to be cherished and nourished each day.

I know myself, I often have to remind myself that we were a couple first and that its important to make sure we are working together as partners and in sync to make this little family run.

So at family sessions, if the right opportunity strikes, I try and dedicate a few minutes to that couple. I like for kids to see their parents in love and hug and embrace; I think it gives them a sense of security.

So here we go. The COUPLE first who’s love created a BEAUTIFUL family!

An afternoon at the beach with the F. Family!

May these images remind you of the love of that day and warm your heart !

And to Mr. F! Don’t forget, “when you grab her, grab her like you mean it”!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one!

Alrighty, lets see these beautiful children of theirs
